IMPORTANT NOTICES
Please read the Terms & Conditions ahead of ordering items from the Website, as these apply upon conducting a purchase on the Website. When you complete the purchase on the Website and accept our Terms & Conditions, you enter into an agreement with Home by Ilse Jacobsen on delivery of your purchase (hereinafter “Agreement”). If you do not accept these Terms & Conditions, you may not purchase items on the Website.
You have the right to withdraw from the from the Agreement without justification within 30 days after the day on which you or any third parties that you have specified took physical possession of the goods. This does however not include transportation which you have accepted to be charged for upon completing a purchase on the Website. Read more under “Right of Withdrawal”. Furthermore, your purchase is covered by the Danish Sale of Goods Act (Købeloven), which means that you have certain legal guarantees for the state and quality etc. of the items you have purchased.
HOME BY ILSE JACOBSEN Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time (e.g. to reflect changes in technology, our business model, our system capacity or changes to relevant legislation and regulations), so we therefore ask you to accept or Terms and Conditions each time you conduct a purchase from the Website. You will not be given notification of any such changes. The Terms & Conditions that were applicable and that you accepted when you made your purchase will be the Terms & Conditions that apply to your order.
CHOICE OF LAW AND VENUE
Any agreement entered is subject to Danish law. Any dispute that may arise in connection with our agreement, including the existence or validation of the agreement, shall be presented to a court in Denmark.
ORDERING
Orders can only be processed through the website. We do not process orders sent by e-mail, letters or by fax. The website is open 24 hours per day but may be closed due to maintenance or services which we try to minimize downtime on by conducting maintenance services during night time.
An order placed on a public holiday or during the weekend will be processed on the following business day. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase goods on the website and possess a valid credit card that is accepted by us. See “Payment” section below.
Among other things, we reserve the right to cancel the contract of purchase in one of the following situations, without being liable for compensation or other costs:
- Your payment details are incorrect or cannot be verified.
- Your order is placed with the purpose of committing fraud etc. or placed in connection with a criminal offense or other unlawful activities.
- There is an inadvertent error on the website, such as payment error or similar.
- We have reason to believe that you are under the age of 18.
If you do not understand parts of the Terms and Conditions, we recommend that you contact Customer Service before you make a purchase on the website.
AT WHAT POINT IN THE ORDERING PROCESS ARE YOU BOUND BY YOUR ORDER?
Before submitting the order you have the option of changing the information that you have povided, including delivery and billing information or payment information. Furthermore, you have the option of making changes to your order or to remove goods from your shopping basket.
When you click “Complete payment” you are bound by the contract of purchase. Please see “Right of withdrawal” section.
You can only buy products at HOME BY ILSE JACOBSEN, IJ HOME APS online shop as a private consumer an not as a business customer.
PAYMENT
We accept the following means of payment:
- Mobilepay (offered to customers in Denmark)

CVV (CREDIT CARD VERIFICATION NUMBER)
If you pay by credit card, you will be asked to enter the card’s security code. You can find the three-digital security code on the back of your credit card, usually on the right side front side or on the back of the credit card. The security code is necessary for the payment to be processed and for maintaining a high level of security. There may also be other similar safeguards.
We do not charge card fees.
Please note that some banks charge a fee for transactions in our online shop. This fee is charged by the bank and Home by Ilse Jacobsen, IJ Home Aps cannot refund this amount. For more information, please contact your bank.
The amount will be deducted from your card upon shipment.
DELIVERY & PRICES
We strive for parcels to be delivered as quickly and efficiently as possible. Most parcels are shipped on the same day if the order is placed before 11.00 European CET time. Please see overview of our available delivery options below.
The delivery time is an estimate counted from the time the parcel is shipped and it depends on the chosen distributor and method. On very large orders longer handling time must be expected. When your parcel has been shipped you will receive an order confirmation and receipt via email. All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Denmark.
PRICES, FEES AND SHIPPING
All prices quoted on the Website for products, delivery and other costs are listed under delivery & return. Costs relating to delivery, freight and postage may vary from each order. Delivery costs will be indicated on a separate line in your shopping cart and on the billing page, as part of the total amount of payment. Import taxes are to be covered by customers as applicable upon receiving the order. See more about wrong prices, offers etc. in below “Other Matter” section.
CURRENCY
The prices on the Website are displayed in the currency that applies to your country. Please use the country selector function at the top of the Website if you want to change your country selection. Your delivery address determines which currency you will be charged for. Please note that the change of country to which delivery is to take place may affect price and delivery costs.

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
As a consumer you have a 30 day right of withdrawal when you shop on the Website. The cancellation period expires 30 days after the day you received your item. If you have ordered several different items in the same purchase, but they are delivered individually, the deadline runs from the day you receive the last item. If the purchase consists of several lots or parts, the cancellation period expires 30 days after the day you receive the last lot or part. In the case of an agreement on regular delivery of goods over a certain period, the withdrawal period expires 30 days after the day you receive the first item. You cannot cancel the purchase by refusing to receive the item without notifying us at the same time.
If you choose to cancel a purchase you must return the goods in the same condition and quantity as when you received them. Please note that products purchased from our Beauty and Spa Collection can only be returned unopened.
It is unfortunately not possible to exchange for another item online, so if you want to order a new size, colour or style, you must return your purchased style and place a new order.
When you cancel a purchase we will refund your payment to your account as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after we have received the returned goods.
Refunds will be transferred to the payment card with which the purchase was made unless agreed otherwise between us.
All returns has a return cost fee, the fee varies depending on what country you’ve purchased from. See all return prices by clicking here. Please be aware, that you are responsible for all return costs including import costs if applicable.
THE CONDITION OF THE ITEM WHEN YOU SEND IT BACK
If the item has lost value and it is because you have used it in a different way than what was necessary to determine the item's nature, properties and the way it works, you can only get part of the purchase amount back. The amount you can get back depends on the commercial value of the item, and in some cases it may mean that you can only get the shipping costs back. The item must be returned in the original packaging.
EXCHANGE IN OUR STORES
Unfortunately, it is not possible to exchange- or return items purchased on the webshop in our stores - please return them through the webshop.
RIGHT TO COMPLAIN
If you have a complaint, you have to inform our customer service before returning any items. Please send an e-mail to cs@ijhome.dk with order number, pictures of the defect item and a description.
When we ship products purchased on the Website, we do our best to ensure that the product is in perfect condition. In the event that the product is defective or does not match your order, you have the opportunity to make use of the right to complaint. When you shop with us as a consumer, the rules of the Danish Sale of Goods Act apply to purchases of goods and thus a right of complaint for 24 months.
HOME BY ILSE JACOBSEN, IJ HOME APS reserves the right to reject complaints about goods that have not been handled appropriately and according to instructions. Especially styles with sewn-on loose parts such as sequins, beads, rivets and buttons as well as silk and knit styles must be treated gently. If you have questions about this, you are always very welcome to contact Customer Service.
The right of complaint includes manufacturing and material defects that are found during normal use of the product. The right of complaint does not cover in the event of defects, damage or wear and tear, directly or indirectly arising as a result of incorrect use or poor maintenance.
The complaint must be made, no later than 2 months after you have established the error or defect. Any inquiry within 2 months after you have discovered the defect is timely, but in some cases it is possible that a longer period is valid in relation to the legislation.
If the complaint is justified, it means that you can either have the item the money returned or a reduction in the price, depending on the specific situation. The item must always be sent back in proper packaging. Read more about how to send a return in the "Right of withdrawal" section.

The content of the website such as copy, graphics, icons, images, videos, audio files and software, are owned by HOME BY ILSE JACOBSEN, IJ HOME APS or its associated partners or companies. Downloading content from the website is only permitted for personal and non-commercial purposes and under the condition that copyright is respected. Copying, distributing and reproducing content from the website for public or commercial use or using the copyrighted content in any other way without permission from HOME BY ILSE JACOBSEN, IJ HOME APS or associated partners and companies is strictly prohibited.

We do our best to update the website and to ensure that prices, offers, descriptions and other information concerning the goods are correct. Typographical errors and errors in prices, offers, descriptions and other information concerning the goods may occur.
FORCE MAJEURE
We are not responsible for delays or failure to meet our obligations in relation to the Terms & Conditions, if the delay or the non-compliance is due to events beyond our control.

RIGHT TO COMPLAIN
In case you wish to complain about goods purchased from us, please contact our Customer Service. You can contact our Customer Service by telephone or email (please find the details on the top of this page).
You may also submit a complaint about goods purchased from us to the Consumer Complaints Board. Naevnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg. It is also possible to submit a complaint online via their website www.naevneneshus.dk.
You may also use the European Commission online complaints register when submitting your complaint. This is particularly relevant if you are a consumer residing in another EU country.
